Healthcare Administrators of Tidewater and NAHSE Virginia are pleased to present:

The Future of Healthcare Leadership:

Over the next decade – as care delivery faces new competition, embraces technology, and marches toward value and consumerism – hospital and health system administrators will find it much harder to staff key positions than they might expect. New ways of working while driving innovation and experimentation will permeate clinical and non-clinical staff, and an aging population will accelerate the demand for certain critical skills. There will be an inevitable need for new roles, new skills, and deeper relationships across the workforce. Competition will be hot across industries (not just healthcare). Retaining the best and brightest will only get more difficult.

To thrive in this era of disruptive change, healthcare must undergo an evolution to foster a new innovation-driven environment that enables an inventive, agile, and productive human-centered culture focused on the consumer experience. The best leaders will have capabilities that allow them to respond to risks more effectively, deliver on business priorities, and implement differentiated practices that act as a “force multiplier” for innovation and consumer obsession. In this session, we’ll explore what we can learn from the fastest growing, most innovative employers in the world – technology firms. We’ll look at what innovation-driven tech workplaces are doing to power through the tremendous velocity and the complexity of change in their business footprint and product roadmaps, and explore how healthcare can implement some of these practices. We’ll ask questions like, what do their leaders do differently? How will the most innovative workplaces be different from the rest? Most importantly, we will talk about how you can be ready for this transformation?
